morphsuits? what the – and huh?

Sitting with my feet, and all my children, in the water at our local beach; I look up and see what appears to be creatures taking a jog around the lake.

I do only natural response known to mankind: I stare.

I don’t think anyone is quite sure how to respond. We tell our kids not to stare, but something here seems different – like staring is somehow appropriate.

I dare to approach the creatures in an attempt to get more of an idea of what is up here. Morphsuits. Ok. That explains it. (I guess)

I notice a lack of communication on their part when it comes to me asking questions. I wonder if when becoming a member (I want to say Morphism?) they agree to not sharing their ways with the others (the uncovered ones? the unclothed?).

As I continue to observe (ok, stare) I see these three continue to jog around the beach, skipping, twirling, and throwing in some random cartwheels and cheers as they so desire. I go into my psyche with all I have access to and quite profoundly I wonder – they seem to be accomplishing a goal of being noticed and on display, yet not seen…..hmmm.

Is this attire acceptable? I guess when it comes to following the standard shirt-and-shoe-required regulation, these are covering all the bases, they just cover some more, like the body and it’s entirety.

For those of you up on this phenomenon (do you prefer Morphy’s?), you’ve got me beat when it comes to full spandex bodywear. I sit here with my hands and entire head – both front and back – uncovered and am feeling a bit exposed for the first time in my life. Cheers to you, and your kind. Enjoy your freedom.
