alive and well.

Buffalo was a success (according to my standards!) And so glad to have a new hunting buddy along – that was fun M!! You’ve got a good eye for game girl. As well as a front porch. (!!!) Ohhh- I would love that!

No accidents – besides a spilt mocha at a stop light. Shoot!

We pull in and there on the store front is something to screech, squeal and scurry about. Likely any animal or live creature within earshot did too as it scampered off in fear. I’ve gotta say, I don’t think we are fit for the real hunt friends. Tip-toeing and shushing each other would really kill all the fun. Or just the attempt to contain myself could kill me.

Some of what I scouted out:

A ladder island – $89.00. Not sold. And those red thermoses! Heather paused for a moment with those.

A very concerning garland display. Hmmmm….?

A perfect quilted throw to snuggle with: $35.00. (I was tempted to throw it over the PJ display…)

Messy script wall – and a moment to imagine pulling this look off ourselves. Our wondering eyes and minds pondered— what would our walls have to say? Hmmm…

Gold floral painting – aged perfectly. A little harder to pull off a DIYer, but really, it is possible!

A ten foot table – how great! Perfect for those more-the-merrier kind of gatherings!

Then the table for two – perfect for the late night dinner with Mr. K, or morning coffee with Mr. C.

A 42 piece golden china set – for $95.00. Still there last I saw it.

Just sitting right there in the open for the taking: $35.00, an understated (if there is such a thing) aqua chair.

Last but not least: this pair of boots. A great shade of army green and thigh-high to-boot. And a fit for Julie. (!!) I put out a nonchalant feeler test of “hey take a looksie at these – interesting…?” I think I picked up on a pitter patter of excitement from her, and with the Christmas Spirit feeling in the air we’ll just have to wait and see if Santie Claus has this in mind for our tall friend. (!!!)

Anything for me? I smuggled a couple of snugly things to share with you another day.

It was good and fun. Along with some good news:

Yay!

“even Rose will be here.”

All is well!

Our little fun can continue! Except for January when they are closed. Oh well, we’ll just have to go to Mexico for your birthday. I wonder about Patina General in January? Hmmmm, we’ll have to ask.

Just to be clear. That wasn’t a pitter patter of excitement you picked up from me over the boots. I think it was a twitch of some sort. As in, sorry but “so tacky it’s cute” just doesn’t apply here.

Make sure you let Santie Claus know, k?

Oh – yes – what to do in January?? Head south!!???

Julie – Santie Claus was a bit disappointed – but he got the message. He appeared to write something down in your file – not sure if it was naughty or nice. I tried to put in a few good words about how you are grateful for the thought, and that you promise not to whine about the boot finds not being your size in the future.
