never want to be too old.

A lovely quote referring to Blythe. Who she is, what she represents. I did some reading on this doll I see everywhere and now know I would like one of my own to keep my curious and playful side alive and present. (This head can get stuck in serious adult mode).

My young emily comes in handy when I occasionally can’t fall asleep. I run my all-too-serious racing thoughts by her only to hear back: “oh…I am too tired to think about that… off to sleep!” or  ”huh?” I take either one, roll over on my side with her in my mind’s eye and am fast asleep.

The original doll was born just a few years before my time, and only on the market for one year. Read more about her history and see more great photos on page 69 of the Mauve Magazine Post.

[Flashback to Florida girls? Heath you are really making a splash here in your yellow shades. Julie that's long-legged you on the right. I guess that leaves me on the left, looking pretty adult-serious I might add. Maybe I haven't had my mocha yet.]

How did I never have one of these dollies in my life??? And why should we not all have one now?! No reasons I can think of. Totally so great.

Love our picnic on the beach photo too. If we had tried to pull off a picnic that quaint in Florida we would never have reached the beach before 3 pm. Still, our little mini-me’s look pretty darn good. You do look like you’re ready for a mocha though. Or a margarita.

Yes, double pump half caff mocha or a margarita with a side of G. Em, that swimsuit is totally yours. So cute. I like my hair color and blunt bangs. Oh and my retro thermos. : )
