big-boy chore

My view of the front yard: a very satisfying moment.

This year, Dannyboy has much more ease in taking on this task. No help needed. Yes, just the fact that this big-boy chore is getting accomplished without effort from either homeowner is completely amazing. The fact that he actually enjoys it, that is the part I can’t control as a parent; a definite bonus.

Mr. C’s view of the front yard: his appreciation is more in line with a wow- factor and utter fascination.

My view of Mr C. and Dannyboy both: there is much I can say. It comes down to seeing my two boys. Somehow with a decade of years between them, I forget that I have two sons. I think that perspective would be easier to see if I were either pushing them both in a stroller, or if I were dropping them both off at hockey practice.

My view of the side yard: What can I say?

Mr. C is telling me something here. Come on Mom – your sons are not so different. I’ve got this big-boy chore covered. He even caught on to lining up the rows.

Sidenote: Admittedly, the thought of our lawn mowing being covered for the next several years is crossing my mind.
